Ember Veil

Ember Veil is a protective botanical hair treatment created for the heat of the sauna. A blend of nourishing plant butters and lightweight botanical oils coats the hair in a silky layer before you step into the heat, helping strands feel softer, smoother and conditioned afterwards.
Soft notes of sweet orange and eucalyptus bring a gentle, natural aroma to the ritual. Just enough to enjoy, never enough to compete with the sauna itself, the warm wood, the steam and all the scents that make each sauna unique.

When I first started SALT, I kept getting asked the same question whenever I talked about the Post-Sauna Cleanse Bar:
“What about something for your hair?”
Good question.
So I decided to make one.
I got stuck into the research, ingredients, formulas and textures, looking for something that fitted the SALT way of doing things, natural, minimal, considered and without a load of unnecessary extras.
Then I went ginger for the fourth time.
And suddenly the question wasn't just coming from everyone else.
I really needed one.
That gave me the push to properly get on with it.
There were plenty of formulas to test, textures to tweak and ingredients to get excited about, but the goal stayed simple: create something you could put through your hair before the sauna, enjoy the heat, then wash out afterwards.
And this time, I was excited about making something that wasn't just needed by me.
Ember Veil was made for all of us who love the sauna, and still want to love our hair afterwards.

Directions of use
Before entering the sauna, warm a small amount of Ember Veil between your palms.
Apply evenly through dry hair, concentrating on the mid-lengths and ends. Use more or less depending on your hair's length, thickness and texture.
Step into the sauna and enjoy your ritual.
Afterwards, wash the treatment out thoroughly with shampoo.
